The Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday continues through Sunday, August 11. It is designed to help Florida families save money on essential items students need for the upcoming year. It includes items such as Up to $1,500 for personal computers, tablets electronic book readers, headphones and related accessories; school supplies selling for $50 or less, such as binders, notebooks, folders, markers and pencils; backpacks, clothing and footwear up to $100; and learning aids and related resources such as flashcards, interactive books and matching games selling for $30 or less.

Registration for Lake County Schools Extended Learning Centers (ELC) Program opened this morning, Monday, July 22, at 8 a.m. for all district operated elementary and K-8 schools. This is the before and after school program for students in kindergarten, first, and second grades at Rimes. A $30 registration fee is due for every student who did not attend 2024 ELC Summer Camp. Weekly rates for 2024-25: $36 for before school, $64 for after school, $78 for before and after school. New VPK Before & After Care! We are thrilled to announce that Rimes will now offer a fee-based before and after care program for our VPK students! This new program will provide quality supervision and care from 7 AM until the start of the school day, and again from dismissal until 6 PM. Our beloved ELC program will continue to serve our K-2 students with the same dedication. Please note that the VPK and K-2 programs will operate separately, each in its own designated space to ensure the best care and environment for all our students. We are pleased to inform eligible families that they may use School Readiness funds for Rimes' VPK Before and After Care Program (LIC# C05LA0267.)
